Celebrate National Pollinator Week at Stowe! 

We invite nature lovers, conscious citizens and curious minds to join us as we explore and learn more about the small creatures that make a big impact in our world: the pollinators! From birds to bees to butterflies, our team is raising awareness on how to protect and advocate for pollinators. We’re hosting hands-on workshops on moths, seed papermaking, beekeeping and more! Wednesday, June 18 | 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Garden Pavilion | $25*

Curious about honey bees and their essential role in our environment? This informative session is not a full beekeeping course, but a well-informed introduction leading into real-life visits to our hives in the garden! With this, you’ll discover plenty of practical insights and real-life beekeeping basics.

We invite you to join our local moth expert, Lior Carlson, for an evening of learning + observing these winged wonders of the night, as part of our Moonlight Series.

Thursday, June 19 | 2-4 p.m. | The Farmhouse Garden Center | $7 materials fee 

Meet us in the Farmhouse Garden Center‘s sunny courtyard for a hands-on workshop where you’ll make your very own plantable paper infused with native flower seeds to attract butterflies, bees and other essential pollinators! Learn the art of papermaking, pick up sustainable craft knowledge and discuss how planting native supports a healthy ecosystem.

All craft materials and native seeds will be provided, along with workshop guidance from a garden educator. Once you’ve finished, take your handmade seed paper home and plant it: just add a little water and sunshine, and watch your very own pollinator-friendly plants grow!

Friday, June 20 | 5-7 p.m. | Garden Pavilion | Cost Varies* 

We invite you to a guided walkthrough of our abundant Piedmont Prairie, led by Ecological Stewardship Manager Janet Manuel. You’ll learn more about the history and future of our Prairie, and the unique science behind this piece of the garden’s ecosystem. Discover a unique habitat and the native species that make our garden so special, and how we can support the pollinators that thrive there.

While you explore, enjoy a signature pollinator-themed cocktail or refreshing spritzer from our bar, crafted just for Pollinator Week! No experience necessary– seasoned naturalists, casual gardeners and curious minds are all welcome to learn more about our local ecology. Bring your phone, your curiosity and your love for nature!

**Adults pay $16.95+tax, Seniors pay $14.95+tax, Children pay $9.95+tax. Members may attend for free but still need to pre-register – just add your tickets to your cart and log in with your membership-associated email address and you’ll see the total reduced to zero at checkout.
