Located just past the check-in desk in the Garden Pavilion, Big Leaf Café + Shop is the perfect place to rest and relax on your path to nature. Stop in Big Leaf for fresh, grab-and-go meals and snacks, a cold drink or hot cup of coffee and nature-themed merch, art and gifts. Comfortable and scenic indoor and outdoor seating provides a restful break in your journey through The Gardens.

Nope! You may enter Big Leaf Café admission-free, but you must purchase admission if you’re also planning on visiting The Gardens at Stowe.

Big Leaf Café serves fresh, refrigerated grab-and-go food options, including sandwiches, wraps, salads, desserts, fruit and veggies. We also serve snacks such as chips and candy.

Big Leaf Café serves hot and iced coffee, wine, beer and soda and other N/A beverages. Cocktails available on occasion; typically for special events.

Visitors can sit at tables and booths indoors to enjoy their food and take a rest. There is additional seating available on our scenic patio.

Big Leaf Café sell Stowe merch such as T-shirts, hats, water bottles, stickers and tote bags in addition to gifts such as books, kitchen supplies, home decor, toys and much more. We also sell native plants grown at Stowe on the patio (available on a seasonal basis).

Tickets are available at the Garden Pavilion. You will pass the Admissions Desk to purchase tickets on your way to Big Leaf.

Absolutely! Members enjoy a 15% discount on all purchases, excluding alcohol.

Big Leaf Café sells wine, beer and N/A drinks you can sip as you walk The Gardens in addition to fresh grab-and-go food. Please be sure to throw away your trash in the provided receptacles and help us keep our land clean for all to enjoy! Carry-in alcohol and food are prohibited on Stowe property.
