Celebrate summer in style at Red, White + Blooms! 🌹🌼🌻
Start off the holiday weekend with a laid-back Coffee + Cars cruise-in at the Trailhead Store at 8:30 a.m. Treat yourself to a gourmet beverage, then head down to the Garden Pavilion parking lot to chat with fellow car enthusiasts.
The Garden kicks into summertime festivities at noon with live music from three fantastic local Americana + folk bands, perfect for stretching out on the lawn and soaking up the sounds! Catch Jesse James DeConto of the Pinkerton Raid at noon, the Crystal Fountains Duo at 2:30 p.m., and Wagon Load A Trouble at 5 p.m.! Pack your lawn chairs, blankets or beach towels and shoes you can dance in — or kick straight off!
There’s no rushing through these tunes, as you can enjoy special extended garden hours until 7 p.m. that day! Picnic with us for lunch or dinner with a wide selection of grab-and-go goodies from the Big Leaf Café! Grab a special themed drink at the bar to really beat the heat! We’ll also have a sneak peek at our brand new Big Leaf Patio through a native plant sale in the new space. Keep a close eye out as you peruse the Prairie and Perennial Gardens – the native plant you have your eye on might be for sale on the patio!
Families will find fun around every corner with a themed scavenger hunt, an artsy craft for creative little hands (supplies on us!) and decorative fun like face glitter and temporary tattoos. There’s no better day for curious minds to explore our summertime Butterfly Bungalow from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., take a snack and dance break on the lawn, then stroll down our shady Adventure Trail and cool off creekside! Summer sizzles in the garden, and we’d love for you to soak up the sun with us!
