Free Nights are Back!
We’re excited to announce that our popular Free Nights are back for Summer 2025! Join us on Wednesday, June 11 from 4-8 p.m. for an evening of cost-free fun in The Gardens at Stowe. Save the date for our July and August dates:

Introducing Member Mornings
Starting June 4, Stowe members are welcome to visit The Gardens an hour early from 9-10 a.m. to beat the heat and crowds. Take a peaceful stroll, bring the kids and have the Adventure Trail to yourself or connect with other members for a fun social hour.
Summer Camps
Summer camps at Stowe kick off on June 9! These camps are a full immersion in the wonders of nature, science and adventure designed to spark curiosity and create lasting memories. From uncovering the secrets of plants and animals to getting messy with hands-on art and science fun, our camps are packed with adventure and creativity! Led by awesome educators who know how to make learning a blast, every day is filled with outdoor excitement in a safe, friendly space where kids have no limit on where their imaginations can take them. Come join the fun this summer in Stowe—where very day is a brand-new adventure!
Butterfly Bungalow
Our Butterfly Bungalow season is in full swing! Any visitors or members can enjoy the Butterfly Bungalow during Garden open hours from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Step into a realm of fluttering wings and vibrant colors, watch butterflies emerge from chrysalides, explore a pollinator paradise, search for hungry caterpillars among the leaves, feed a butterfly on a feeding sponge and more! Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to learn about and interact with the butterflies you may find in your own backyard.
Prairie Castle Playground Update
Our construction team is still working diligently on our brand new Prairie Castle Playground; we encourage you to walk back beyond the formal gardens and check out their progress. Prairie Castle is currently slated to open this summer, with an exact date to be announced soon. We can’t wait for all the magical adventures to come!
Summer Nights Race – Saturday, July 26 | 5 p.m.
The summer iteration of our 2025 Race Series is the “coolest” race you can do in mid-July! The setting sun paired with the shade of our trails provides a tranquil run through The Gardens during golden hour – this is one race you don’t want to miss!
Education + Programs
Our Program and Education team have put together some hands-on opportunities to build new skills, find a fun hobby or get out and socialize with the Stowe community. Join us for the following opportunities:
- Garden Photography Walks – Hosted monthly by professional photographer Nelson Stegall, these two-hour walks are focused on being outside in nature, slowing down and creating meaningful images. The next walk will be held on Saturday, June 14 from 8-10 a.m.
- Moonlight Series: Moth Night – We invite you to join our local moth expert, Lior Carlson, for an evening of learning & observing these winged wonders of the night on Thursday, June 19 from 8-11 p.m.
Live Music
We’ll continue hosting our popular Pickin’ on the Porch series at The Trailhead Store throughout the summer from 2-4 p.m. each Saturday. Here’s the upcoming lineup for June:
We’ll also be hosting a Jazz at the Garden Concert Series throughout the summer! Pack your lawn chairs or picnic blankets, kick back and enjoy some delicious food and sweet tunes. Our next concert will be held on Saturday, June 21 from 5-8 p.m. featuring acclaimed jazz keyboardist and composer Marcus Johnson!
