A gift membership is a membership that you purchase for someone else (friends, family, colleagues, etc.). Instead of buying regular admission tickets, you’re giving the recipient a year-long membership to the gardens — including all the benefits that come with it.
Levels*:
Individual memberships provide one year of daily admission to the Gardens at Stowe, and include one named digital membership card for an adult.
Dual memberships provide one year of daily admission to the Gardens at Stowe, and include two named digital membership cards for two adults sharing a household.
Family memberships provide one year of daily admission to the Gardens at Stowe for the members of the household, and include two named digital membership cards for two adults sharing a household as well as children/grandchildren**.
Family Plus memberships provide one year of daily admission to the Gardens at Stowe for the members of the household, and include up to four digital membership cards for up to four adults sharing a household, as well as children/grandchildren**. Optionally, Family Plus members can designate one of their four cards to a regular caregiver, such as a grandparent or nanny, that does not share the home, or designate 2-3 guest cards rather than providing four names for their four digital card slots.
*Stowe understands that families vary and can look different than what fits in a standard definition for membership purposes. If you have a situation which needs accommodations, we will work within the limitations of our programs to ensure that your needs are met. Just reach out for help.
**Stowe does not record the names or ages of minors in the household or issue membership cards for them; we only record the number present for the membership program.
Admission to ticketed events, such as Holidays at the Garden, Trip to the Tropics, Jazz at the Garden and events occurring outside of regular operations hours are NOT included in Membership, though Members are able to purchase discounted tickets to most events. The discount will vary depending on the event contract and terms. Members also receive discounts in all of our event spaces, previews and discount days, and reciprocal daily admission to a network of other gardens via the American Horticultural Society’s Garden Network.
Gift memberships Purchased Online: (Fastest delivery and most ecologically friendly!)
Start immediately and run for one year after date of purchase by default. If you input the gift recipient’s email address, they will receive an email shortly after the purchase- if you are trying to surprise someone with a gift and don’t want the surprise spoiled, input the giver’s email address and forward your confirmation email to Membership Manager Erin Fisher () with this info:

Gift Memberships Purchased in Person:
A trifold Membership Gift certificate in an envelope suitable for wrapping/giving/mailing. Becomes active as soon as the certificate is returned by mail, email or in person. Available in the Big Leaf Café, at the front Admissions desk, at the Trailhead Store and in the Farmhouse Gift shop during open hours (hours vary by location).

Gift Memberships Purchased by Phone:
The Membership Manager can either send a gift certificate for a membership that will start the day they return the certificate, either by mail, email or in-person; or you can purchase a membership which starts immediately. If you receive a voicemail box, please leave a good day and time to return your call.
