Despite the cold, Stowe stays vibrant and beautiful during the winter through Holidays at the Garden, an immersive light exhibit that pairs our stunning Gardens with millions of twinkling lights. This holiday season, we’re offering several initiatives to support our beautiful 380 acres and give you the opportunity to make your mark, honor loved ones and give back. Sponsor a Conifer

This holiday season, we’ve invited our community to help us grow something truly special. By sponsoring a conifer tree, you can add a touch of sparkle to our holiday display while supporting the growth of our Conifer Garden this spring.

Instead of using cut trees, we filled the front entrance to the Garden Pavilion with living conifers—adding height, lights and natural winter beauty to our holiday landscape. Once the season wraps up, these trees will be replanted in the Conifer Garden, where they’ll continue to grow and thrive for years to come.

Here’s how it works:

  2. Your tree becomes part of our magical holiday display.

  3. In spring, it’s replanted in the Conifer Garden to keep growing.

Each sponsorship includes holiday signage recognition, so you can feature your family name, business or a special dedication.

Want to make it extra meaningful? Add a short “In honor of…” message at checkout to dedicate your tree to a loved one or celebrate your business, team or clients while supporting the Garden in a lasting way.

Adopt an Orchid

Every year during Holidays at the Garden, our Horticulture team constructs a massive, 14-foot Orchid Tree to display in our Garden Pavilion. This tree is entirely made up of hundreds of individual orchid pots (plus a few other accent plants). It’s truly a sight to behold and adds the perfect tropical touch to our holiday exhibit.

In 2025, you have the chance to sponsor an orchid to feature on our tree! Donate today and you’ll have your own personal orchid highlighted with signage that you can customize however you’d like. Shout out your business, brand or school, or dedicate your beautiful orchid to a loved one.

Santa’s not the only one making a list and checking it twice – our dedicated Horticulture staff has a list of tools and equipment that help them keep The Gardens beautiful all year round! Some of these items include:

  • Rain Gauges ($10-$50)
  • More Garden Hoses ($30-$50)
  • Wheelbarrows ($150-$200)
  • Extension Ladders ($400-$600)
  • Golf Carts ($8,000+)

Stowe’s Evergreen Society was formed to provide a force of ongoing annual support that builds momentum for today and future initiatives. Evergreen Society patrons receive a membership to Stowe as a benefit of their gift, in addition to many opportunities to more deeply engage with the garden through special tours, VIP events and behind-the-scenes access.
