Immerse your child in the wonders of nature, science and adventure with our hands-on camp offerings. Come discover mysteries at our Enchanted Garden Camp, develop wilderness survival skills at our different Adventure Camps, learn about the outdoor creatures and organisms that call Stowe home in Woodland Naturalist Camp, create nature-themed art with environmental materials in Nature Art Camp and cool off through games and activities in our Water Camps. Each camp provides a safe environment for kids to explore, learn and grow that balances education with outdoor fun, including our three-story Prairie Castle and the shaded Adventure Trail. Please note all age limits are strictly enforced and campers must be the ages listed throughout the duration of the camp. Camps are hosting during the summer and spring and fall breaks. These are primarily outdoor camps and food and drinks must be brought in by the camper. Camp drop-off is between 8-9 a.m. and camp pick-up is between 4-4:30 p.m.

Daniel Stowe Conservancy Anti-Bullying Policy Agreement

Parents/Guardians: Please review the following agreement with your child(ren). Then signify you all understand + agree to all statements by typing in your names below. This means that you + your child(ren) understand + agree to follow this policy for your child(ren) to attend our camp(s) or program(s).

  • I take responsibility to create a positive environment for myself + other campers.
  • I understand that doing intentional harm and/or bullying another person, either physically or emotionally, is grounds for dismissal from a camp/program.
  • I understand that although I may be able to solve some conflicts on my own, the staff at Daniel Stowe Conservancy are always ready to
    listen + assist if there is a problem + they may only be able to help me if I am willing to share my concerns with them.
  • I will use appropriate language + understand that profane language or gestures, sexual references, discriminatory comments, + jokes will not be accepted.
  • I will be respectful of property + personal space of all participants, staff, + property that does not belong to me.
  • I will not possess lighters, matches, illegal drugs, alcohol or weapons of any kind while in the camp or program.Should any of the above statements not be met by the participant, consequences include:Our Zero Tolerance Policy regards physical aggression + severe verbal bullying. Our staff retains the right to make judgement decisions
    in determining the severity of the incident.
  • Any participant committing an act of physical aggression against another participant, staff member, or anyone else will be removed from the camp/program.
  • Parents/guardians: You must pick up your child within one hour if your child is dismissed from the camp/program.
  • Depending on the act of aggression, your child may be restricted from the remainder of a camp/program + may not be allowed
    to participate in future events.For all other bullying or harassment incidents, we enforce a Three-Strike Policy.
  • Strike 1: Participant receives a verbal warning from
    staff. Participant + staff member(s) discuss why the behavior occurred + develop strategies the child can utilize if a situation arises again to make better choices.
  • Strike 2: Participant will be removed from current activity + not continue participating. The child is required to meet with the Education Manager, or the staff member in charge, to review the behavioral strategies discussed in Strike 1 + examine why they choose not to follow them. The manager/staff member will then call the parent/guardian by end of day to discuss behavior + remind them of the consequences if behavior persists.
  • Strike 3: This results in removal from the camp/program + potentially restricting future participation.By typing my name + date below, I am stating that I have read, understood,
    + will abide by all the policies in this “Daniel Stowe Conservancy Anti-Bullying Policy”. Furthermore, I certify that I have discussed all these policies, their meanings, + consequences with my child(ren). Their typed name + date below signifies that they understand + agree with the policy and consequences associated with bullying.

Additional Camp Disclosures

Campers will only be released to individuals listed in this form. A form of government ID will be required for all persons picking up campers for the first time. Campers will not be checked out to any individual without previous written or verbal approval by the guardian to the Education Director. If this list changes at any time you must contact the Education Director ([email protected]) to add or remove individuals.

If there are medications that may be taken during camp, written directions must be sent (this includes the use of epinephrine and inhalers) and additional paperwork may be requested.

By completing your registration, you hereby authorize the Daniel Stowe Conservancy to take responsible action in the circumstance my child is injured and needs immediate medical attention during a Daniel Stowe Conservancy program.

At Daniel Stowe Conservancy we are committed to a safe and civil educational environment for all of our campers and staff, free from harassment, intimidation, or bullying. Should an incident arise during a camp or other program we reserve the right to follow and enforce our Anti-Bullying Policy as outlined in this registration.

Refund Policy: 2 or more weeks before camp you are eligible for a 100% refund of your ticket purchase. 1 to 13 days before camp you are eligible for a 50% refund of your ticket purchase. After 9 a.m. on the first date of camp you are no longer eligible for a refund. If your child is dismissed from a program for disciplinary reasons** no refund will be given for the ticket purchase.
