Questions about visiting the Gardens? Please contact Guest Services Manager Aaron Cressman.
Over the last two years, our Board of Trustees and generous community members built a $600k fund to completely renovate and refresh DSBG’s Perennial Garden. The complete overhaul of this garden space created functional systems for electrical and irrigation as well as accessible pathways for the stunning nature scape to be enjoyed. This year, the garden is booming with bursts of color, texture, and pollinators. Perennial gardens serve as vital tools for education, conservation, sustainability, and native eco-systems. They showcase the beauty and diversity of the plant world and promote awareness and understanding of the importance of preservation and natural heritage.
With Phase I complete, DSBG looks to Phase II with our dedicated team of expert horticulturists and landscape designers to extend the renovation by an impressive 60,000 square feet. Your support of Phase II will allow DSBG to contribute to a valuable public resource that benefits our community, supports environmental and conservation efforts, and leaves a lasting mark on the landscape for generations to come.
“In Phase II, garden “rooms” will be built into the landscape, creating stunning pockets, each with a different water soundscape and colorful assemblage of plants. This year-round experience will highlight each season’s unique beauty.” – Jason Bonham, Director of Horticulture
