Pollinator Week: An Evening of Ecology
Jun 20 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Part of Pollinator Week | Friday, June 20 | 5-7 p.m. | Garden Pavilion | Cost Varies*
Celebrate science, community and the beauty of nature this Pollinator Week! 🐝
Wrap up Pollinator Week with An Evening of Ecology at the garden. Join us for the final day of our Bioblitz: a community science event using the iNaturalist app. All you need is your phone camera to help document the incredible diversity of plants, insects, and animals thriving throughout the garden. Every photo and observation you share directly supports real scientific research and conservation efforts! (Psst: you can join our Bioblitz all week long! Just download the app to document different findings spotted at different times of day!)
We invite you to a guided walkthrough of our abundant Piedmont Prairie, led by Ecological Stewardship Manager Janet Manuel. You’ll learn more about the history and future of our Prairie, and the unique science behind this piece of the garden’s ecosystem. Discover a unique habitat and the native species that make our garden so special, and how we can support the pollinators that thrive there.
While you explore, enjoy a signature pollinator-themed cocktail or refreshing spritzer from our bar, crafted just for Pollinator Week!
No experience necessary– seasoned naturalists, casual gardeners and curious minds are all welcome to learn more about our local ecology. Bring your phone, your curiosity and your love for nature!
We request that you register your admission ahead of time! Members enjoy free admission to the garden– just add your tickets to your cart and log in with your membership-associated email address and you’ll see the total reduced to zero at checkout!
