DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, April 18 | 1-4 p.m. | The Trailhead Store | Free \nWe’ll be kicking off National Volunteer Week with a relaxed afternoon at The Trailhead Store to celebrate our amazing volunteers. It’s a great chance to unwind\, enjoy the spring weather by the ponds and connect with other volunteers. The event is open to current and prospective volunteers\, so feel free to bring family and friends! \nWe’ll have an info table for anyone interested in volunteering\, plus lawn games\, a raffle\, an adult craft and cake (while supplies last). There will also be free live music from 2–4 p.m. as part of Pickin’ on the Porch. \nGuests can stop by anytime between 1–4 p.m. and stay as long as they’d like. Seating will be limited\, so we recommend bringing a lawn chair. No pre-registration necessary!

DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, March 28 | 9 a.m. | Race begins at The Trailhead Store  \nMake waves this Spring with a brand new addition to our 2026 Race Series – Splash Dash! \n5K participants run through the neon green of early spring blooms on our trail system with lakefront views and the most picturesque start and finish line in the The Village at Stowe. \nNEW! 5K + .5 Mile Kayak Racers will take part in the first ever amphibious race at Stowe! Our amphibians will start out on the 5K course and at about the halfway point\, they will veer off course to a beach on Lake Wylie where kayaks will be waiting. Racers will transition to kayak and paddle the loop around Boy Scout Island on Lake Wylie before landing back on the beach. Once on dry land they will finish the 5K course. Don’t worry! Competitors will use kayaks\, paddles and PFD’s provided by Stowe. If you plan to participate\, you must read the 5K + Paddle Amphibious Race Info page before registering. \nKids Sprint participants will run the Big Pond Loop! Kids will go all out for a quarter mile sprint around an 8-foot-wide crushed concrete loop. The best part? The loop is visible from The Trailhead Store so parents can give their kiddos a little freedom and cheer them on the entire time if they choose! \nRegister Here

How about old gift bags and wrap that need a new home? Bring it in and see if someone else can “regift it”! And\, bring in any pet supplies you’ve got but no longer need! Items should be in “giftable” condition.\n\nAll participants must be active members of Daniel Stowe Conservancy. Pre-registration is not required\, but members will be checked in to the event at the door. You may also renew or establish a new membership at the event.\n\n\nChildren are welcome to attend but must be under the supervision of an adult at all times.\nBring your own 4-ft\, 6-ft\, or 8ft folding table\, or rent one of ours for $10.00. Table rentals will be paid at the door (cash or credit card accepted). Chairs will be available to borrow if needed for comfort or mobility issues. We recommend bringing a cart or wagon for easy load in and load out. A limited number of carts will be available to borrow.\nFor ease of setup and takedown\, please limit your swap pile to 40 items or less.\nAll items must be FREE to swap. No selling.\nBe mindful and only take items you can use. No hoarding or taking to resell.\nSuggested items: clothing you’d buy secondhand\, kids toys and games\, baby gear\, pet supplies\, household items\, small appliances and decor\, outdoor\, hobby and sports gear.\nPlease do not bring: Stained\, ripped\, unwearable clothing\, undergarments\, expired or recalled items\, food\, broken toys or games missing pieces\, political items\, adult-themed media or items with adult content\, potential biological hazards\, firearms or other weapons\, or items in need of significant repair before safe use.\n\nThe goal of this event is to bring our member community together to promote repurposing items\, extending their lifespan and minimizing waste. DESCRIPTION:Stowe invites you and your toddlers to join our outdoor nature-themed learning experience\, including a read-aloud story\, puppets and an activity for children ages 0-4 and their caregivers. Our Pickin’ on the Porch music series brings talented local musical artists out to the Trailhead Store porch for some free fun every Saturday from 2-4 p.m. (Weather permitting).
