DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, October 7 | 9:30-11:30 a.m. | $15 | Grades 4 + 5\n\nIn this hands-on outdoor adventure led by our Environmental Educators\, students become food web detectives exploring who eats whom in nature and the necessary roles producers\, consumers and decomposers perform. By investigating how plants\, animals\, fungi and other organisms act in their environment\, students will uncover how energy and nutrients move through that ecosystem. Using investigative science\, they will explore how a successful network between food web organisms illustrates the interdependence of each\, and the consequences as organisms change or disappear.\n\n\nRegister Here

DESCRIPTION:October 7 | 10-11 a.m. | Ages 2-4 | The Farmhouse Garden Center | $10 per child \nLittle hands\, big imaginations and plenty of opportunities to explore! \nDesigned for our youngest nature lovers\, Sprouts at Stowe invites children ages 2–4 and their grown-ups to discover nature through songs\, movement\, and hands-on creativity. Each 45-minute to 1-hour session features an age-appropriate nature theme with opportunities to sing\, wiggle\, explore\, and create together. \nPerfect for toddlers and preschoolers\, this program encourages curiosity and connection while giving children a chance to learn through play—with a parent\, grandparent\, nanny or other caregiver by their side. An accompanying adult is required to participate with each child. \nThis is an active\, movement-based program\, so we’ll spend part of our time up and moving! For the craft portion\, we’ll typically transition to tables where participants will work primarily standing. A limited number of chairs and ground mats will be available\, but adults are encouraged to bring a chair if they would prefer to sit during portions of the program. \nRegister Here
