SUMMARY:Butterfly Release Experience
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, June 24 | 11:30 a.m. | The Gardens at Stowe | Ages 12+  | $5 (General Garden Admission or Membership required) \nPart of our Pollinator Week Programming  \nBecome part of the magic as you help welcome our newest butterflies to the Butterfly Bungalow. \nDuring this behind-the-scenes experience\, participants will take part in releasing butterflies into the exhibit. Seated among hundreds of free-flying butterflies\, you’ll carefully open the protective envelopes and watch as each butterfly begins its first moments in its new home. Some immediately take flight\, while others take a little longer to stretch their wings and wake up\, making every release unique. \nTo provide the best possible experience for both guests and the new butterflies\, the Butterfly Bungalow will be closed to the public during this small-group event. The release itself typically lasts about 15–20 minutes\, but we’ve reserved up to 30 minutes to allow plenty of time to enjoy the moment. \nParticipants should arrive at the Butterfly Bungalow 10–15 minutes before the start time so we can begin promptly and maximize time inside the exhibit. \nImportant Notes \n\nAges 12 and up only\nParticipants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult guardian\nGloves are required and provided (latex free)\nGuests will remain seated during the experience to help ensure the safety of the butterflies\n\n*Because this experience depends on the arrival of our weekly butterfly shipment\, occasional delays or cancellations are possible. While we schedule the release with a built-in buffer to accommodate most delivery delays\, butterfly arrivals are ultimately outside of our control. \nTickets may be purchased online or at our Front Desk while quantities last. \nThis special opportunity offers a rare glimpse into a part of butterfly care that most guests never get to see—and the chance to be among the first to welcome our newest winged residents. \nRegister Here

DESCRIPTION:Part of our Pollinator Week Series  \nWednesday\, June 24 | 1:30-2:15 p.m. | The Gardens | $15*  \nCelebrate Pollinator Week with a guided tour of Stowe’s pollinator gardens and native prairie led by members of our horticulture team. \nExplore the vibrant landscapes that support butterflies\, bees\, moths\, hummingbirds\, and countless other pollinators while learning about the native plants they depend on throughout their life cycles. Along the way\, discover the importance of host plants\, the role pollinators play in healthy ecosystems\,and practical ideas for creating pollinator-friendly spaces in your own yard or garden. \nThis approximately 45-minute walking tour offers a closer look at some of Stowe’s most ecologically significant planting areas and the fascinating relationships between plants and wildlife that make them thrive. \nAs a special Pollinator Week bonus\, each participant will receive a native plant grown in Stowe’s Native Nursery to take home and help create habitat for pollinators in their own landscape. \nImportant Information: \n\n*Garden Admission or Membership is required to enter The Gardens\nTour begins promptly at 1:30 p.m.\nPlease meet on the Four Seasons Lawn prior to the start of the tour\n\nRegister Here
